FAST Training X Literacy Training = Graphic Organizers!

Hey, team: I posted links to a bunch of Web sites on EDblog last night. Here's the link to the posting with the material:

Literacy Training

Check them out. They'll be invaluable as we continue to support reading and note-taking in our classes.

Using NVUSD Web Mail

I'm putting a link to the Web-based email onto our VOA page. Lately I've been using the Web-based mail because it's just as easy as Outlook and it can be accessed anywhere, from home or at school. If you go to <mail.nvusd.k12.ca.us/exchange/>, log on as vhs_stu_domain/username with your VHS password, a mail program will pop up in your Web browser that lets you check your email.

So it's just like logging on to your VHS account except with vhs_stu_domain/ just before your username. Don't forget to check the "remember my password" box so you don't have to enter it every time.

If you think of it, with the email access right here at the VOA home page, you could use this page as the start page in your Web browser, and you'll be all set to check your mail when you log on.

I'm placing a "Check Your Email" link over in the Links column, so it'll be automated for all of us VHS folks. This way our ROP staff at NCOE has two ways to contact or send us announcements: one, they can post right here on the blog or, two, email us, which we can check from a link on the blog.
